Train services between Glasgow and Edinburgh via Shotts have been cancelled on Friday morning amid flooding.
Storm Kathleen has brought to weather warnings that are in force across much of the country.
Due to flooding on the line, on the route via Shotts, the track is closed with Network Rail staff on site to fix the situation “as quickly as possible”.
ScotRail said it had requested replacement buses.
There are also speed restrictions in place due to heavy rain.
Blanket speed restrictions are in place across some sections of the following routes this morning: Glasgow – Largs, and Glasgow – Carlisle via Dumfries.
Edinburgh to Glasgow Central services will terminate at Fauldhouse, the train operator said.
Glasgow Central to Edinburgh services will terminate at Carfin.
ScotRail has requested for buses to operate between Fauldhouse and Carfin.
