Humza Yousaf faces FMQs as Michael Matheson iPad row continues Scottish Parliament

Humza Yousaf is facing a grilling from MSPs as the row over his minister’s £11,000 roaming bill continues.

A data breakdown of the iPad used by Michael Matheson while on holiday in Morocco last year showed that he used more than 6GB on the trip.

Opposition parties are demanding the health secretary explain how he clocked up the charge, including how he used more than 3GB of data in one day.

Matheson has insisted he only used the iPad for constituency matters but MSPs want him to evidence his claims and hand the device over to IT officials for review.

FMQs also come just a day after the SNP’s failed ceasefire motion led to a wave of resignations from Labour’s frontbench.

The party had called on MPs to back an end to the fighting between Israel and Hamas.

Some 56 Labour MPs joined the SNP and LibDems in voting for the motion which was opposed by Keir Starmer.
