A man has been charged seven months after a woman died following a three-car crash in the Borders.
Yvonne Nicol, from Hawick, died after a crash involving her Vauxhall Astra, Ford Ranger and a Nissan Juke near the Ashkirk junction on the A7, at around 3.34pm on August 15.
The 64-year-old was taken to Borders General Hospital, where she later died. A 65-year-old male passenger in the Vauxhall suffered serious injuries.
A 71-year-old woman, driver of the Nissan Juke, was airlifted to the hospital.
The male driver of the Ford Ranger was arrested in connection with road traffic offences and was released pending further enquiries.
Nine months after the crash, police have confirmed that the 30-year-old has been charged in connection with the incident.
A report is set to be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
