Two women were taken to hospital after a one-vehicle crash on the M8 on Sunday evening.
The collision happened on the eastbound carriageway at around 7.15pm between Junctions 6A and 7 near the Eurocentral industrial estate east of Glasgow.
A car could be seen having partially mounted the central reservation barrier on the motorway.
Traffic was restricted in both directions following the incident with the road cleared two hours later at around 9.10pm.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.15pm on Sunday, May 22, 2022, police were called to the M8 eastbound, between Junctions 6A and 7, following a report of a one-vehicle crash.
“Two women were taken to hospital for treatment and the road was cleared around 9.10pm.”
Earlier on Sunday another crash left a car on the M8’s central reservation.
A man, woman and child were taken to hospital after the one-car collision closed the M8 motorway in both directions near Edinburgh at around 1pm on Sunday.
