The driver of a police car is in hospital having crashed into a wall after colliding with another vehicle on the M8 motorway in Glasgow.
The crash at around 7.50am on Friday comes amid warnings for anyone travelling on roads to take care due to severe adverse weather conditions.
The police car and another vehicle collided near Junction 19 Anderston Cross where the slip road merges with the M8 just after the Kingston Bridge.
A police officer was taken by ambulance to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment to minor injuries.
There are no reports of any other injuries.
Recovery of both vehicles was under way shortly after 8am with the eastbound slip at Junction 19 closed.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said : “Around 7.50am on Friday, December 30, 2022, a police vehicle was travelling to an emergency call when it was involved in a crash with another vehicle on the M8 at Junction 19.
“Recovery of both vehicles is under way.
“The driver of the police vehicle has been taken by ambulance to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment for minor injuries.”
