Taylor Swift is set to touch down in Scotland next summer for two gigs in Edinburgh as part of The Eras tour.
The US singer-songwriter will take to the stage at the capital’s BT Murrayfield stadium on June 7 and 8, 2024.
The shows will mark her first in the country for nine years, last taking to the stage in Glasgow during the 1989 World Tour in 2015.
Tickets for the eagerly-awaited gigs will go on general sale this month, and fans who pre-registered with Ticketmaster will discover on Wednesday if they will get an access code.
What is Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan system?
It comes after fans in the US and Australia struggled intensely with the platform and thousands of others in a mad scramble to get tickets last year.
In the US, Ticketmaster was forced to cancel general sales for the Eras tour due to “extraordinary demand”.
However, a lot of tickets later began to crop up on resale websites, leading to fears they had been purchased en masse by scalpers or bots.
As a result, Ticketmaster introduced the Verified Fan system in the UK, in an effort to ensure buyers are legitimate fans who will attend the show themselves.
The platform says that after registering a buyer’s email, phone number and Ticketmaster account, it can confirm that they are a legitimate fan.
