This poignant cartoon of a heartbroken Pudsey has been shared thousands of times since the death of Sir Terry Wogan.
The picture, drawn by Darren Birdie, shows the Children In Need mascot with a tear rolling down his cheek and a white rose in hand.
"Such sad news to hear of the loss of #TerryWogan - a broadcasting legend who helped lighten many peoples lives!" Mr Birdie tweeted.
His cartoon has been retweeted more than 3,000 times with people praising his ability to capture the mood of the nation "perfectly".
Mr Birdie told ITV News that he wanted to capture in a simple image what Sir Terry "was all about".
He said he had been stunned by the "incredible" reaction and was "very grateful" to all those who had shared his cartoon.
Sir Terry, regarded as one of Britain's best loved stars, died surrounded by his family after a short battle with cancer.
He was hailed as a "broadcasting legend" by BBC Director General Tony Hall, while David Cameron said he was "someone millions came to feel was their own special friend".
