Officers investigating an armed bank robbery have released further CCTV images of two men they want to question.

The pair entered the TSB bank on Dunearn Drive in Kirkcaldy, Fife, and threatened staff with a handgun and crowbar while demanding cash on Friday, January 29.

The pair fled on mountain bikes on Alford Avenue with a four-figure sum of money.

Detectives released CCTV images of the men last week, and on Wednesday they released more footage of the suspects with their bikes.

The first man is white, in his late 20s or early 30s with dark stubble. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a dark coloured baseball cap and dark coloured clothing.

The second male is described as white, 5ft 9in, around 30 years old, of medium build and with stubble. At the time of this incident, he wore a dark coloured baseball cap, dark blue or grey hooded top and dark coloured trainers. He also wore dark blue jogging bottoms with a distinctive white coloured motif running partially down one leg.

Officers said they have received information to suggest at least one of the suspects may be from eastern Europe.

Detective inspector Colin Robson said: “The public response to our recent appeals has been tremendous and I'm extremely grateful to everyone who has, thus far, contacted police.

"We continue to pursue various lines of inquiry in relation to this extremely serious offence and officers are working tirelessly to trace those responsible.

"The public can rest assured that all information received will be acted upon.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact Fife CID on 101 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
