A suspected drug driver crashed a car into a hole dug for roadworks in West Yorkshire.
Police were called to Dale Street in Huddersfield at 11.23pm on Tuesday to a report a car had crashed where they found the vehicle stuck in the ground.
The driver, who only held a provisional licence and had no insurance, was arrested and tested positive for cocaine, West Yorkshire Roads Policing Unit said.
“Officers attended and arrested the driver on suspicion of taking a car without consent and drug driving offences”, a spokesperson for the force said.
“The man remains in custody and enquiries remain ongoing today by roads policing officers.”
