Mars UK has confirmed that the iconic Dark Bounty will be permanently removed from shelves.

The move comes after milk chocolate version of the popular coconut flavoured snack were removed from the selection of Celebrations tubs.

The decision to pull the much-loved chocolate has left fans fuming, with many taking to social media to share their despair.

A Mars Wrigley UK Spokesperson said: “It’s true, we have temporarily had to delist Bounty Dark for operational reasons and we’re working hard to bring the product back when we can.

“However, in the meantime, Bounty fans can rest assured that their favourite coconut treat; our classic Milk Bounty is here to stay.”

The Dark Bounty is the latest in a long list of heartbreaking discontinued bars that many still wish were on the shelves.

One of the most popular cancellations from Mars is the Mars Delight that was removed from shelves in 2008 after just four years of production.

The removal of the product led to outrage similar to the Dark Bounty with fans starting a petition to get bring Mars Delight back.

The petition reached 6000 signatures and is still missed by many.
