Tech-giant Apple’s systems have been hit with widespread outages.

Users reported being unable to use the music, mapping, and email apps on their devices.

Problems have been reported across Scotland, the UK and much of the world with thousands of people affected.

Apple’s system status website confirmed issues with its App Store, Apple TV+, iCloud Calendar, Contacts, Mail, Apple Music, and the iTunes Store.

Bloomberg Business journalist Mark Gurman has reported that many of Apple’s internal corporate and retail systems are down too.

The company has not made a statement about what has caused the outages.

However, Apple updated its status page to show it was experiencing issues with 11 services: App Store, Apple Arcade, Apple Music, Apple TV Plus, Finy My (device), iTunes Store, Maps Display, Maps Routing and Navigation, Maps Search, Maps Traffic, and Radio.
