Young missing woman 'boarded bus from Scotland to Manchester'

A young woman missing from Lanarkshire five days ago is believed to have boarded a bus to Manchester.

Qudsia Tanveer, 21, was reported missing from East Kilbride on September 23.

Police have called for anyone with information to come forward but say she may have boarded a bus for Manchester.

Qudsia was last seen around 5.45pm on Friday, September 23.

She is described as 5’1″ with long black hair and brown eyes. She is of medium build wearing and believed to be wearing a blue and grey tracksuit, black shoes and carrying a blue and white backpack with a “Glasgow” logo and a leopard print suitcase.

A Police Scotland statement says: “It is believed Qudsia boarded a bus heading to Manchester.

“Anyone who may have seen Qudsia since this time, or who has any information which may assist us with enquiries, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident 2898 of September 25, 2022.”
