A young man has been the victim of a sex attack on a train in the Borders.
The victim was aboard the Carlisle to Dumfries service on Saturday night when the incident took place.
At around 9.15pm he was approached and sexually assaulted by another man who is described as being between 40 and 50 years old with a slim build and short grey hair.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the attack as they look to trace the suspect who was wearing a white shirt with Chanel braces, black trousers and Doc Marten boots.
He was also wearing distinct purple coloured contact lenses.
At the time the service was busy with passengers and officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident.
