Drivers on the M8 are to face further chaos as the next phase of overnight works on the Woodside viaduct is to take place next week.
Motorists have already faced major delays between junction 16 and junction 17 as vital repair works have been carried out, which are not expected to be completed until at least autumn 2023.
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are undertaking the next phase of overnight works on the westbound M8 Woodside from junction 16 to junction 17 from Monday.
The work will continue until Friday, commencing between 10pm and 6am each night.
Emergency vehicles and all other traffic will use the remaining westbound M8 open lane while roadworks get under way.
Existing lane restrictions on the M8 Woodside viaducts will remain in place before, during and after this scheme, as part of the ongoing maintenance of this structure.
Eastbound traffic will be unaffected by the work next week.
