Woman still missing three months after leaving hospital

A renewed appeal has been made to trace a missing woman – three months after she left a hospital.

Anne Vetvik, a Norwegian national, was last seen at Stobhill Hospital in Glasgow on the evening of Thursday, February 13.

The last sighting of the 56-year-old was around 5pm that day and police have urged anyone with information to come forward.

Anne is around 5ft 5ins tall and of medium build with shoulder length grey hair. She speaks very good English with a Norwegian accent.

She normally wears a woollen hat, wraparound sunglasses, red lipstick, carries her handbags crossed over her shoulders and all of her possessions in shopping bags.

Sergeant Niall MacLeod said: “I would like to thank members of the public who have assisted police so far in the search for Anne.

“Officers are still conducting enquiries on a local and wider scale, but it has now been 12 weeks since Anne was reported missing.

“She is a quiet and reserved person who does not disclose much about her lifestyle, or those she associates with.

“Anne has links to the city centre, southside and west end areas of Glasgow and I would appeal to anyone who may see her in those areas to let us know and Anne, if you are reading this, please let us know you are safe and well.”

If you have any information on Anne’s whereabouts contact police on 101.
