A woman has been sexually assaulted on a canal footpath in East Dunbartonshire.
She was attacked as she was walking along the path in Kirkintilloch at around 11.20pm on Friday night.
Police have launched an investigation and enquiries are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.20 pm on Friday, 30 April, 2021, police were called to a report that a 20-year-old woman had been sexually assaulted by a man on the north canal footpath between Cowgate and Hillhead Road, Kirkintilloch. Enquiries are ongoing.”
