A woman has been named after her body was recovered from Glasgow’s River Kelvin following an incident.
Emergency services had been called to a report of concern for two people in the water near to Eldon Street shortly before 6pm on October 11.
A man was rescued by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
Following four weeks of searches, police confirmed that the body of a 59-year-old woman was recovered from the river shortly before 12.30pm on Friday, November 10.
She has now formally identified as Katrina Winters.
There are no apparent suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
