Hooded man demands money from 'terrified' woman in street

A woman has been left “terrified” after a hooded man approached her demanding money in Glasgow.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the incident which happened around 12.20am on Wednesday on the corner of Hillend Road.

The 43-year-old woman was approached by a man wearing a black waterproof jacket with a peaked hood, a light-coloured t-shirt and dark trousers with light coloured trainers. He also had on a black snood.

The man then made off on foot along Balmore Road.

He is described as approximately 5’8” in height and around 30-years-old.

Constable Natalie Davner from Govan Police Station said: “This has been a terrifying experience for the victim and thankfully no one was hurt in the incident.

“I’m appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident or anyone who has information relating to this incident to make contact with the police.

“If you believe you can assist our enquiries, or have potential CCTV or dashcam footage from the area, please call police on 101, quoting incident 0073 of November 2.

“Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
