A woman has been left “shaken” after a man jumped out of his car, banged on her window, shouting and swearing, before following her for more than three miles to a police station.
At around 6.30pm on Monday, the woman was driving at the Hornhill Roundabout, off the M80 at Junction 3, when the car in front of her stopped.
Police said a man “jumped out” of the grey Audi RS5 before banging on her window while shouting and swearing.
The Audi followed the woman along Initiative Road towards Kirkintilloch, onto Easter Garngaber Road and then onto Kirkintilloch Road in Lenzie.
The car kept following her before ending its pursuit near to Kirkintilloch Police Office – more than three miles from the M80 motorway.
Police said the woman was “shaken but unhurt” by the incident and officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Police constable Adams of Kirkintilloch Police Station said: “We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. The car in question was a grey Audi RS5.
“This is a very busy road, so there would have been a lot of drivers around. I would ask anyone in the area around the time of the incident, particularly those with dash cam footage to contact us. Any small piece of information could assist in our enquiries.”
