A woman caught drug dealing outside a bingo hall has been jailed for more than five years.
Pearl Glover, 55, was caught during a police probe in Irvine, North Ayrshire, on June 19 last year.
Prosecutor Michelle Brannagan told the High Court in Glasgow on Tuesday: “In her hand, the officers observed five clear plastic bags containing a brown substance.
“She attempted to swallow them as she was removed from the car she was in.”
Police also found a Kinder Egg container with another 15 similar bags during the search outside the town’s Buzz Bingo.
The drugs found had a total value of £200.
Glover was then on bail when she was snared again on June 9 this year.
She was in a car park in Old Raise Road in Saltcoats, North Ayrshire, when police found her with £200 more of heroin along with £545 in cash in her purse.
Glover, also of Irvine, pled guilty to two charges of being concerned in the supply of the class A drug.
Ms Brannagan said Glover had previous heroin dealing convictions.
As a result, she faced a mandatory seven-year jail term.
Judge Douglas Brown cut the sentence to five years and 339 days as a result of the guilty plea.
