A woman has been left injured after being punched to ground and kicked in the head by a fellow dog walker in Glasgow.
Police are appealing for information on the incident that took place when the woman was walking her puppy on Clyde Walkway at around 10.30am on Thursday.
An altercation broke out with a man who accused her dog of stealing his pet border collie’s ball.
The “extremely aggressive” man then punched the woman repeatedly until she fell to the ground before kicking her in the head, causing her to sustain a facial injury.
Her phone was then thrown into the Clyde by the man who was wearing a beanie hat and green running jacket.
A Police Scotland spokesman confirmed the incident.
He said: “We received a report of an assault on Clyde Walkway, Glasgow, around 10.30am on Thursday.
“If anyone has any information about this incident, please contact us on 101 quoting incident number 0925 of 9 January or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
