A woman has been charged after police seized Class A drugs with an estimated value of £68,000 in Glasgow.

Officers recovered the substantial quantity of Diamorphine while searching a property on Glendinning Road on Monday.

Police confirmed that the drugs seized have an estimated street value of £68,000.

A 38-year-old woman was arrested and charged in connection with drug offences.

The woman was released on an undertaking to appear at court at a later date.

Detective superintendent Steven Elliot said: “Police Scotland is committed to removing illegal substances from our communities and we will take all measures to disrupt those involved.

“This arrest underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
