A woman is in hospital after she was hit by a car on Saturday morning in Glasgow.
At around 8am on October 1, police were called to reports of a crash involving a pedestrian and a car on Saltmarket.
The 25-year-old female pedestrian was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment while a 48-year-old man was arrested in connection with a road traffic offence.
The road was closed between Glasgow Cross and Bridgegate following the incident, but has since reopened.
Police said that enquiries remained ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a crash involving a female pedestrian and a car on Saltmarket in Glasgow around 8am on Saturday, 1 October.
“The 25-year-old woman has been taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.
“A 48-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a road traffic offence and enquiries are ongoing.”
