The 21-year-old was walking on Kelvin Way around 3.55am on Saturday when she was approached from behind by a man who then assaulted her.

The victim suffered minor injuries as a result of the assault.

The suspect is described as being in his mid-50s, around 5ft 10in with a slim build and short grey hair. He was wearing a blue jacket and blue jeans.

He left the scene on foot heading towards Argyle Street and Sauchiehall Street following the assault.

“I would like to reassure the local community that officers will be conducting additional patrols in the area throughout the investigation.”

Those with information should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0689 of December 18 2021.
