A woman and a teenage girl have both been sexually assaulted just minutes apart outside a McDonald’s restaurant in East Renfrewshire.
The 23 and 15-year-old were attacked by a man on Main Street, Thornliebank in broad daylight on Sunday afternoon.
Police were called to the scene at around 2.30pm and officers investigating the incident are now looking to trace the person responsible.
Any witnesses to the assaults or anyone who has any information regarding the incidents have been asked to contact police as soon as possible.
A spokeswoman for the force said: “At around 2.30pm on Sunday police received a report of two females, ages 15 and 23, being sexually assaulted in the Main Street area of Thornliebank.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland through 101.”
