A pensioner has died after her car crashed into a building at a retail park in Ayrshire.
Jean Walker from Irvine was taken to hospital after the crash that took place at the town’s Riverway Retail Park on Wednesday morning.
However medical staff at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow were unable to save the 85-year-old and she was pronounced dead three days later on Saturday.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the incident that also left a 77-year-old with minor injuries.
Sergeant Craig Beaver from Road Policing said: “Our thoughts are with Jean’s family and friends at this difficult time.
“We are keen to speak with anyone who was in the retail park at the time, or has dash cam footage of the incident.”
