Officers are appealing for information after a man was assaulted by a gang of teenagers in West Dunbartonshire.
The man was seriously assaulted by the group of youths around 12.30am on Friday near Bonhill Bridge on Angus Street, Alexandria.
The 25-year-old was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley for medical treatment following the attack.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward, including the driver of a yellow car parked nearby who may have seen the incident.
Detective constable Lee Cassidy of Clydebank Police Office said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the assault.
“Our enquiries so far have revealed that a yellow car was seen parked in the vicinity and the driver may have witnessed the assault. We would be keen for him or her to come forward.
“Anyone who has any information that will assist this investigation to contact us through 101 quoting reference number 0100 of Friday, July 8.
“Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
