A van driver who died following a crash with a paving machine on the A75 has been named.

Kevin Bodle died at Galloway Community Hospital after the collision on the major road near Glenluce at around 6.45am on Tuesday, May 21.

The 45-year-old, who was driving a white Peugeot Partner van, was involved in the crash with a stationary Volvo paver machine.

Police said enquiries into the full circumstances of the crash remain ongoing.

Sergeant Lloyd Caven said: “Our thoughts remain with Kevin’s family and friends at this terrible time, as they try to come to terms with their loss.

“We continue to appeal for anyone with information on the crash, any witnesses, or motorists who may have been in the area and have dashcam footage, to please come forward.

“You can call police on 101, quoting incident 0538 of May 21, 2024.”
