Drivers have been urged to take care on a major road after a two-vehicle collision closed a lane.
The crash on a southbound lane of the M74 on the Kingston Bridge between Junction 1 and Junction 1A was reported shortly before 3.30pm on Tuesday.
Emergency services were called to the scene but there were no injuries as a result of the incident.
Traffic Scotland said that drivers were able to pass on the remaining lanes which were open but urged road users to take care while travelling in the area.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.15.pm on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, police received a report of a two-vehicle crash on the M74, junction 1 southbound near Rutherglen.
“There was no-one injured and drivers exchanged details.
“No further police action was required.”
