Two trains cancelled between Glasgow and Oban after tree falls onto tracks blocking line Network Rail

Two trains have been cancelled after a tree fell onto tracks on the line between Ardlui and Arrochar and Tarbet.

Shortly before 9am, ScotRail received a report of the tree which means trains could not run until it was removed.

The tree was removed by Network Rail shortly after 9am but the incident has had a knock on effect to services on the West Highland line.

The 10.36am train from Glasgow Queen Street to Oban, and the 14.41pm Oban to Glasgow Queen Street were both cancelled as a result.

Network Rail confirmed that the line has reopened.
