Two teens released on bail amid murder probe in search for missing Scottish man Paul Taylor in Cumbria Police Scotland

Two teenagers arrested on suspicion of the murder of a Scottish man have been released on bail.

Police said investigations were continuing after the two 19-year-olds from the Carlisle area were released.

It comes one month after the disappearance of Paul Taylor, who has not been seen since October 17 after leaving his home in Annan, Dumfries and Galloway.

Cumbria Police believes the 56-year-old travelled towards Carlisle shortly before midnight on October 17 via the M6 Southbound.

They say the car then headed in the direction of the Kingmoor South area of Carlisle and the Carlisle West area.

Detectives are also looking at possible sightings of his blue Vauxhall Corsa – registration PY18 DYO – in the Yewdale, Sandsfield Park and Brough Road areas on the night of October 17 and early morning of October 18.

Mr Taylor’s car was later found abandoned in Langwathby at around 8.45am on October 19.

Cumbria Police are particularly keen to seek any information about Mr Taylor’s movements or the movements of his car.

Anyone with information or who may have seen Paul or his car in the Carlisle west area, specifically the Yewdale, Sandsfield Park and Burgh Road areas, is asked to contact officers.
