Teens arrested for firework offences as parents warned by police

Police have warned parents to check where their children are following the arrests.

Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with fireworks offences in Glasgow.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested by police on Albert Drive in the city’s Pollokshields area around 5.50pm on Friday, October 14.

Two days later on Sunday, October 16, a 14-year-old boy was arrested following similar firework offences on nearby Kenmure Street around 7.10pm.

Police have issued a warning asking for parents to ensure they know where their children are.

In a statement Glasgow South East Police said: “Over the weekend two males aged 14 and 15 have been charged with firework related offences in Pollokshields. They will be referred to the appropriate agencies.

“Parents do you know what your children are doing when they are about?”
