Two teens rushed to hospital with head injuries after attack

Two 18-year-old men were taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary after being assaulted on Thursday evening.

An investigation has been launched after two teenagers were attacked in Glasgow city centre.

Police were called to the city’s Four Corners area at around 10.10pm on Thursday, after two 18-year-old men were left with head injuries after being allegedly attacked following an altercation near St Enoch Square.

They were both taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment. Their current condition is unknown.

Officers are keen to trace to a male aged between 15 to 20 years old in connection with the incident.

He is described as having a shaved head, around 5ft 7in tall, of slim build, and wearing a black and grey tracksuit with dark trainers.

Reports state that he was last seen heading south on Jamaica Street, Glasgow.

Detective constable Craig Whyte of CID in Glasgow said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the time of this incident.

“We are aware that an altercation took place between the victims and a group of people near to St Enoch Square, Glasgow, shortly before the attack.

“I would urge anyone who has any information regarding the incident to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 4135 of May 4, 2023.

“Alternatively Crimestoppers can be called on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
