Two teens charged after Kelvingrove 'attack' left girls in hospital

Two teenage girls were left injured following the alleged attack in Glasgow.

Two teenagers have been arrested over an incident in a Glasgow park that left two girls in hospital.

The boys, aged 18 and 16-years-old, have been charged in connection with the Kelvingrove Park assault.

The alleged attack took place at the skate park area of the west end park at around 9pm on Monday.

Emergency services attended and two girls, aged 17 and 18-years-old, were taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment. One of them was described as having serious injuries.

Police confirmed the arrests on Thursday.

A spokesman for the force said: “A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

“The 18-year-old man is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday, and the 16-year-old at a later date.”
