Two police officers have been injured in a crash that left one in hospital over Christmas.
The officers were in a police car on the King V Bridge in Glasgow when it was involved in a collision with a Hyundai at around 8.30pm on Christmas Eve.
Emergency services attended and both occupants of the police car were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital by ambulance.
One was released after treatment and the other remains in the hospital where medical staff have described their condition as stable.
The driver of the Hyundai did not require hospital treatment.
Police confirmed the incident on Sunday.
A spokesman said: “Inquiries are continuing after a road crash involving a police car and a Hyundai that took place on Broomielaw at King George V bridge in Glasgow around 8.30pm on Friday December 24.
“The two police officers were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where one was released after treatment.
“One officer remains in hospital where hospital staff describe his condition as stable.”
Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
