Police are appealing for information after a car was set ablaze in North Lanarkshire.
The vehicle was targeted on Clark Street, Airdrie at around 11.55pm on Thursday.
Investigating officers, who are treating the fire as deliberate, are looking to trace two men who were seen in the area at the time of the attack.
A burgundy or red coloured SUV was also spotted nearby and the public are being asked to assist them with their investigations.
Detective Constable Lyndsay McKinnon said: “We are treating the fire as deliberate and are asking anyone with any information to get in touch.
“A burgundy/red SUV and two men were seen in the area around the time and I am appealing to anyone with information about this vehicle or any other information which may assist us to get in touch.
“I would also appeal to anyone who has possible dashcam or CCTV footage that may be able to assist us with our enquiries.”
Emergency services attended and the fire was extinguished safely.
There were no reports of any injuries.
