Two people have been taken to hospital, and a further two have been arrested, after a disturbance near a central Glasgow hotel.
Police were called to the scene outside the Alexander Thomson Hotel, on Argyle Street, at around 1.30am on Wednesday.
Two men, aged 20 and 22, were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.
The 20-year-old was treated for minor injuries before release, but the 22-year-old remains in hospital. His condition is currently unknown.
A further two men, aged 26 and 31, have been arrested in connection with the disturbance and police say their inquiries are ongoing.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Around 1.30am on Wednesday, May 31, police were called to a disturbance in Argyle Street, Glasgow.
“Two men aged 20 and 22 years were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where the 20-year-old was treated for minor injuries before being released. The 22-year-old man remains in hospital.
“Two men aged 26 and 31 years have been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.”
