Two charged after heroin and cocaine worth £1.4m seized by police

Two people have been arrested and charged after drugs worth more than £1.4m were seized in Ayrshire. 

On Thursday, police raided a property on Nithsdale Road in Ardrossan and seized Class A and Class B drugs. 

The haul, which included heroin, cocaine and amphetamine, had a potential street value of more than £1.4m. 

A 52-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman have been arrested and charged in connection with the recovery. 

Both are due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Monday. 

A report has been prepared for the procurator fiscal.
