Police confirmed that no injuries were reported as a result and vehicle recovery has been arranged.

Traffic lights at a Glasgow intersection have been damaged after being struck in a crash.

Stobcross Road and Congress Way, near the city’s OVO Hydro, were closed off where the ramp leads to the westbound Clydeside Expressway around 3.25pm on Thursday.

Police confirmed that no injuries were reported as a result and vehicle recovery had been arranged.

Traffcom said the ramp was reopened shortly before 5pm.

However, nearby traffic lights were damaged in the crash and have been turned off until they can be repaired.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a crash involving two cars on Congress Road in Glasgow around 3.25pm on Thursday, July 27.

“There were no reported injuries and recovery was arranged for the vehicles.”
