Google MapsA crash involving three vehicles on the M74 has blocked one lane at rush hour.
Traffic Scotland confirmed three vehicles were involved in a collision on the approach to Junction 1a at around 7.44am on Tuesday morning of the busy stretch of motorway near Rutherglen.
Police Scotland and other emergency services are said to be on the scene at the Polmadie Road slip-off.
Drivers are being advised traffic is tailing back heading north and are being urged to take care on approach.
Delays of approximately 22 minutes are to be expected.
A Traffic Scotland statement read: “The M74 Northbound at J1A is currently restricted due to a road traffic incident.
“Motorists are advised to approach with caution and expect delays in the area.”
Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
