Three people have been charged after police swooped in on an illegal gathering in Glasgow during the early hours of Sunday morning.
A number of others were also fined for breaching the city’s level three coronavirus restrictions.
Officers were called to York Street following complaints at around 3.10am.
On arrival, police were forced to disperse more than 30 people.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Officers gave advice, the gathering was dispersed and a number of Fixed Penalty Notices issued.
“Three people were charged in connection with the incident and will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
“We continue to ask people to take personal responsibility to do the right thing and remember the purpose of these measures is to aid the collective effort to protect the NHS and save lives by preventing the virus from spreading.
“Our officers will continue to engage with the public, explain the legislation and guidance, and encourage compliance. We will use enforcement as a last resort where there is a clear breach of the legislation.”
