Two teenagers were arrested after being traced by police following reports that they were in possession of a knife at a bus station in Kilmarnock.
On Thursday evening, police received a report of the youths in possession of the blade.
Police confirmed that the two males, both aged 16, were traced and arrested for being in possession of a knife within a public area.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “On the evening of Thursday, April 11, 2024 police officers in Kilmarnock attended the Bus Station following a report of two males in possession of a knife.
“Two males aged 16 were traced and arrested for being in possession of a knife within a public place.”
