Teenager taken to hospital after street attack by two men

Officers are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the assault.

A teenager required hospital treatment after two men attacked him on a Glasgow street.

The 18-year-old was seriously assaulted by the men at around 5.25pm on July 21 on Inveresk Street.

Emergency services attended the scene and he was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital by ambulance for treatment.

The first suspect is described as white, between 18 and 25 years old, with a slim build and dark hair. He was wearing a black t-shirt and black shorts at the time of the attack.

The second suspect is described as between 18 and 25 years old, with a tanned complexion and short dark hair. He was seen wearing a light blue t-shirt and dark jogging bottoms.

Detective sergeant Mairi MacDonald of Glasgow CID said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have seen the assault or nearby drivers with dashcam footage to get in touch with us.

“Anyone with information should contact officers on 101 quoting incident number 2793 of July 21.”
