Teenager seriously injured in hospital after car crashes off A82 near Old Kilpatrick Police Scotland

A teenager is in a serious condition in hospital after crashing off the A82 in West Dunbartonshire on Sunday afternoon.

Shortly before 5pm on September 24, the 19-year-old woman was driving a Volkswagen Polo westbound on the road near Old Kilpatrick.

Police said it appeared that the vehicle lost control and left the road.

Emergency services attended and she was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where hospital staff describe her condition as serious.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward.

Sergeant Kenny Malaney said: “Our enquiries into the cause of this crash are continuing and I would urge any witnesses to contact us.

“I am also keen to hear from drivers on this part of the road around the time of the crash as they may have captured footage that will assist us.

“Please contact 101 with incident number 2636 of September 24.”
