A teenager has been left seriously injured following a crash in Dumfries.
The 17-year-old was driving a white Ford Ranger pick up on the A74(m) near Moffat when the incident took place at around 3.30pm on Friday.
Emergency services attended the scene and the injured man was taken to hospital in Glasgow where his condition is described as serious.
Police are now appealing for information.
Sergeant Lloyd Caven of Dumfries and Galloway Road Policing said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the crash or the vehicle on the road before the incident to get in touch.
“We would be particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam footage.
“Anyone with information can call 101.”
