A teenager has been charged after a video was reportedly shared online of a cat being kicked.
Police said an 18-year-old man will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with wildlife crime offences.
The incident is alleged to have taken place in Erskine, Renfrewshire.
On Monday, a force spokesperson said: “Police in Renfrew were made aware of a video circulating on social media of a man kicking a cat in Erskine.
“An 18-year-old man has been charged in connection with wildlife crime offences and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
“The cat is safe and well.”
