An 18-year-old woman has been charged with road traffic offences in connection with the South Lanarkshire incident.

A teenager has been charged with road traffic offences after a 12-year-old boy was struck by a car in South Lanarkshire. 

The child was taken to hospital with injuries following the incident on Carnwath Road in Carluke on Tuesday, October 27.

Police have confirmed an 18-year-old woman has now been charged with road traffic offences.

A spokesperson added: “A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
