A 15-year-old has been arrested after a man died following reports of a stabbing in Cumbernauld.
Emergency services attended after the 27-year-old suffered a serious injury during a disturbance outside of the Abronhill Shopping Centre on Monday.
The man was later pronounced dead at a property on Larch Court, officers said.
Police have now confirmed that a 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the incident as enquiries continue.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a 27-year-old man who suffered a serious injury in a disturbance outside the Abronhill Shopping Centre on Pine Road in Cumbernauld around 4.40pm on Monday, 14 February.
“He was pronounced dead a short time later at a property on Larch Court.
“A 15-year-old male youth has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries remain ongoing.”
