A man has been arrested following a mugging outside a shop in North Ayrshire.
At around 10.30am on Monday, a 59-year-old man was pulled to the ground from behind and robbed of his wallet, which contained a three-figure sum of money.
The victim was left “shaken” and “shocked” by the attack, which took place in Thornhouse Avenue in Irvine.
On Wednesday, police confirmed a 26-year-old man had been arrested and charged in connection with the robbery along with a number of other incidents.
He is due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
