A power cut is affecting thousands of homes in the west end of Glasgow.
On Thursday morning, electricity was cut off to residences in the G11, G12, G13, G3 and G71 postcodes areas.
The issue is affecting parts of Partick, Kelvindale, Anniesland, Knightswood and Finnieston.
Residences in the Uddingston area, in South Lanarkshire, have also been affected.
The cut has impacted on some businesses in the area, as well as homes.
In a statement, SP Energy Networks said that it had “no advance warning” of the cut.
A spokesperson said they expect power to be restored by around 2pm on Thursday.
“There is a power cut affecting the G11, G12, G13, G3 and G71 postcode areas of Glasgow,” the spokesperson said.
“We had no advance warning of this and first became aware of it at 11:54am.
“Our control centre will attempt to restore your electricity supply remotely, and we will also send our next available engineers to the area to find and fix the fault as quickly and as safely as possible.
“We expect the power to be restored by 2:00pm.
“The latest updates can be found on our website www.spenergynetworks.co.uk.
“We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.”
